W/ Coast beat KWT in friendly

A goal from Alagie Fatty seven minutes from time ensured West Coast Radio beat Kids with talents (KWT) Radio 1-0 in a friendly on Sunday.

West Coast Radio dominated the game from start, created and squandered numerous opportunities but Alagie Fatty couldn’t miss an open goal from three yards after he was released by Louis Mendy.

The games’ first opportunity felled to Alagie Jarju alias ‘Fireman’ but his stabbed shot from inside the area was comfortably saved by the KWT keeper.

West Coast went onto missed numerous chances through Louis Mendy, DJ Ouzzi, and a powerful shot from Bakary B Baldeh was parried away by the keeper in the 25th minute.

In the second period, West Coast picked from where they left prior to the break but has to wait until the closing minutes before substitute Alagie Fatty could win the game for them even though there were some nervous moments at the West Coast defence.

Seven minutes from time, West Coast caught KWT on the break masterminded by Louis Mendy. He received the ball in his own half, ran on his own beat past the last defender and round the keeper before he squares for Alagie Fatty to tap in from three yards out.

After the goal, KWT regrouped themselves and pilled pressure on West Coast but the defense was alerted and frustrate all their efforts.

Their best chance of equalizing came in stoppage when a shot was cleared off the line by Baboucarr Touray of West Coast Radio.

Baboucarr Camara came on in the closing five minutes after fans demanded him to be introduced.
