Gambian athletes off to Mali

The Secretary General of the Gambia Athletic Association (GAA) Alhagie Dodou Capi Joof led a delegation of twelve Gambian athletes to leave Banjul on Tuesday for Bamako Mali Bamako to participate in the Zone Two Cadet athletics championships.

The team will travel via Dakar Senegal before they reach their destination of Mail to attend the two day event hosted by the West African country.

The championship will take place from the 13th to the 14th May 2009.

The Gambian athletes to the two day championship are Abdoulie Assim, Ousman Gibba, Lamin Camara, Modou Lamin Kujabi, Omar Jammeh, Kemo S.M. Colley, Amadou Bah, Omar Ceesay, Sohna Saho, Khaddy D. Touray, Mama Gibba, and Fatim Sowe.

The coaches accompanying the team are head coach Dodou Joof, Sulayman Jobe and Mam Keway Ceesay.
