Twenty-eight year old Gambian boxer Badou Jack extended his fine form amassing victories undefeated in the super middleweight bout in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 16th.
The former Gambian Olympian who had turned professional had little work to do against his American boxing opponent Adam Collins whom he was far superior to, packing 2:28 in the first bout.
Jack made short work of Collins in the night’s opening bout. After 3 knockdowns, the referee had seen enough between these 2 super middleweights and called a stop to the fight. The knockdowns by Jack, who is dubbed “the Ripper”, weren’t significant enough to stagger Collins but it seemed like he was outmatched from the opening bell.
The loss drops Adam Collins to (10-5) while the win improves Badou Jack to (9-0) as he remains undefeated.
After the bout, Badou took on the social networking site by posting, “Felt good to be on the big stage yesterday [December 16] in front of all the great boxing legends like Tommy Hearns, Mike Tyson, Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Hector Camacho, Ken Norton, George Forman etc etc..”
“Too bad that my opponent was afraid and didn’t wanna fight but it was great.” “[My] next fight is February 3rd on ESPN Friday Night Fights in Las Vegas.”
The boxing event, which was organized by Sampson boxing Promotions and promotions of the people, was organized in the presence of many champions in the ring as well as the highest authorities of the World Boxing Council [WBC].
