Ous scores tenth goal of the seasonTwenty-three year-old Gambia international striker Ousman Jallow scored his tenth goal of the season for Turkish Bank Asya 1. Lig side Çaykur Rizespor in a 5-3 defeat to league leaders Elazığspor.

Referee Bülent Yildirim’s booking statistic wasn’t a healthy one as he issued ten cards – one of which was a red card for Ousman Jallow’s strike partner Severin Brice Bikoko who will be missing three of Rizespor’s next league games.

Ousman Jallow slotted in the opening goal after just four minutes played, finishing in a scramble ball to the back of the net unmarked in the box from a corner kick.

Jallow’s striker partner, Bikoko flickered in to double up the advantage to put Rizespor’s promotion chase on a firm footing after they were forced to share spoils in the last encounter against Göztepe – a game which Ousman Jallow scored the only goal for Rizespor.

Bulgarian striker Ismail Isa Mustafa halved the deficit for a 2-1 score line for Elazığspor. Soon later, the Gambia international and Bikoko’s goal came to nothing when Goksu Turdogan leveled matters and Ahmet Görkem Görk added the third goal, though Engin Aktürk later pulled a goal back for Rizespor.

In the 76th and 90th minute, Turdogan scored his brace in the 76th minute of the game and Sinan Özkan rounded things up in the 90th minute as he had the simplest of tabs to score for Elazığspor making taking the score line to 5-3.

The defeat leaves Jallow and his Rizespor 6th in the 18-team-table with 32 points from 21 games and up next for them is an away game against Kasımpaşa.
